Why Women Love Monsters
Jared Laurence
Introduction
Hello, you thrill-seeking romantics! Even if the jack-o’-lanterns aren’t lit and the air isn’t thick with pumpkin spice, the pull of monsters and villains is always in the air for women.
A common theme and question I have been asked is why do women love monsters so much. What is the allure women have for the dark, dangerous and mysterious things especially men.
What’s really behind this attraction, and how can men harness it to attract women’s attention? Buckle up, because we’re diving deep into the shadowy world of dark female desire.
Exploring Women's Love for Monsters:
From late-night binge-watching sessions of true crime documentaries to swooning over brooding vampires in romance novels, women have long exhibited a love for the dark side. Just check a young woman’s Netflix history. You’ll often see stories such as scary movies and documentaries about:
- True Crime, especially about serial killers
- Vampires of all types that seduce 17 and 18-year-old girls.
- Pirates, and particularly good-looking ones
- Werewolves
- Other monsters in human form
- Ghosts and demons of all sorts
- More paranormal stuff
But what’s driving this fascination? Why do women love what by normal common sense would be obviously a bad idea and a major red flag. Let’s dig into the depths of the female psyche and explore the primal instincts, societal influences, and psychological factors that underpin their attraction to monsters and villains.
Understanding the Archetypes:
Jordan Peterson, in his insightful analysis of human nature and the female mind, unpacks archetypal figures that deeply resonate with women.
Dominant male personas like vampires, werewolves, billionaires, pirates, and surgeons embody power, charisma, and aggression.
The allure and fantasy for women lies in the narrative of taming these wild men, a modern twist on the timeless “Beauty and the Beast” trope. Women want a man that is dangerous and wild but kind to her and her alone. The video below explains it in more detail.
What does this reveal about women’s desires and their confrontation with chaos?

Navigating Fear and Desire:
Is it fear or desire that draws women to monsters? It’s the delicate balance between terror, pleasure, and mystery. Monsters embody the unknown and the forbidden, creating a tension between danger and protection, darkness and light. This dynamic sparks romantic intrigue.
Women would often rather tame a metaphorical monster than deal with the complexities of a “nice guy” who lacks ambition and edge.
This beauty and the beast phenomenon explains why real-life monsters like Ted Bundy receive boatloads of fan mail from women wanting to date him. Which logically makes no sense. But due to how women’s mind works they would rather tame a monster than be with a nice guy, this is why nice guys finish last.
Embracing the Heroic Villain inside of you:
Villains have a charismatic allure that women cannot resist. By blending danger with charisma and rebellion with charm. They form the core of natural attraction that makes women go crazy for these guys. From outlaw archetypes like bandits and gangsters to powerful warlords and enigmatic cult leaders, these figures exude an intoxicating blend of power, danger and unpredictability.
How can men channel these elements without becoming actual villains? The key is to embody the heroic villain inside of you – challenge societal norms while still being reasonable and logical.
To women Villainous Archetypes are Hot…!!!
- Vampire = Immortality/Eternal Mystery
- Youth Werewolf =Civilized Beast
- Billionaire = Ultimate provider with access and power
- Surgeon =Superior, practical intellect
- Pirate = Uninhibited, sovereign at all costs. Free spirit
You can still embody these aspects of the villain archetypes without actually being a villain.
- Be unpredictable and confident
- Be flirtatious somewhat aloof and mysterious
- Be emotionally and physically strong
- Be intellectually stimulating and dangerous
- Be exciting and passionate
- Be charming and have social proof
Challenging Misconceptions:
To women who want dangerous men. There is a reason behind why they think the way they do. To them monsters are often misunderstood creatures, reflecting society’s fears and anxieties. Whether judged by their appearances, perceived as symbols of fear, or misconstrued based on their intentions, monsters serve as mirrors to humanity’s darkest fears.
In the eyes of a young woman what he has done rarely matters, What matters is that she heals it, and pulls the beast back from chaos and destruction, to love and goodness. The beast who is only tamed by her. That’s the ultimate women’s fantasy. The myth of the submissive alpha male which women dream of.
Now this information is not to judge women’s choices in men. Not to mention modern women who are so messed up by society and their biology that they can’t make sense of what they feel and want. You cannot convince a women of anything that she herself doesn’t feel or what. As a man its not your job to change what she wants or should date. That is entirely her choice.
This advice is for you men because you are far too nice and boring. Women want a guy who gives her a emotional rollercoaster that keeps her life interesting.
Embracing Your Inner Beast:
By shedding their nice guy persona and embracing a hint of danger, men can tap into the primal desires of women. Cultivate unpredictability, flirtation, and emotional depth to embody the hero within.
Strike a balance between excitement, danger and control, and watch as women are drawn to your newfound allure. Whether you’re a motorcycle-riding rebel or an intellectual expert, let your inner beast roar with confidence and charisma. Be the best and most dangerous version of you that you can be.
“You can’t truly call yourself “peaceful” unless you’re capable of great violence, if you’re not capable of violence you’re not peaceful, you’re harmless”
There is a big difference between the two. So this dating season embrace the dark side and do things out of your comfort zone. Be wild and dangerous. Do crazy and adventurous things.
